My important people in my life are my two children, Kate and Julie, and my two grandchildren Taylor and Sophia. The four of them are the joy in my life. I graduated from college and taught third and fourth grade. After the children were older I went to school at the U of Whitewater to become a counselor. Right after that I began school at St. Frances School of Pastoral Ministry and received my Masters of Divinity Degree. I was the third woman to receive such a degree. I have been a licensed counselor in the State of Wisconsin for a number of years. During my ministry in the Archdiocese, I began a group called Parents of Murdered Children. I was the facilitator for three years. I also have been an accredited Trauma Specialist after taking three years of courses. I have been very interested in social justice activities by bringing students from Mount Mary College to the migrant worker camps, praying at nuclear holding sites in Nevada and participating in a Peace Walk into Israel and Palestine areas. I have taught many years at Concordia University graduate classes in counseling and trauma. Right now in am a member of a group called Sophia which works for systemic change for prisons and better care for prisoners. I was ordained to the priesthood on July 21, 2006. I am actively involved in the movement of Roman Catholic Women Priests.
